User checks, formal visual inspections and combined inspection and testing
The HSE and the IEE suggest the following strategy; user checks, backed up by formal visual inspection and combined inspection and test. Our reports give full details on carrying out user checks and formal visual inspections. The combined inspection and testing is the PAT testing inspection that we carry out. We also provide a straightforward fact sheet detailing user checks (based on HSE advice) for your employees use.
Testing notes Staff should check appliances for damage/faults before use in kitchens. All other areas, weekly checks should be made.
